What If There Is No Top by Nathan Blackwater

What If There Is No Top by Nathan Blackwater

Every day I climb

Toward the very top

Crawling out from muck

Determined never to stop.

When do I reach it?

That place of peace

of getting what I want

Where all troubles cease?

What if there is no top?

That I struggle without end.

Always moving forward

Like leaves in the wind.

It’s better this way.

To work through stuff

While never ceasing

To walk on up.

I can’t stay still

I’m made to grow

Always exploring

Content to be whole.
