The Gift by Nathan Blackwater

I stand outside

Wrapped in a new sweatshirt

My skin fits me

No more hurts.

A gift can do that.

Erase the ache

Claim me as wanted

No longer a fake.

Yes, I have doubts

And plenty of tears

But I can rest

In spite of fears.

Leaning on a tree

Feeling a leaf

Walking the beauty

Gathering beliefs.

I believe in all

The Creator gives.

Plants and Eagles

And all who live.

Home and homeless

Respect is the key

To see deep inside

Claiming all you see.

Live by the promise

A part of the glory

Making the choice.

An ongoing story.
